A Shared Forum Related to the Relations between the Region and Baghdad

The Development Center for Research and training (DCRT) at the University of Human Development and The Center of Future Research held a forum related to the relations between Kurdistan Region and the Iraqi Federal Government.
On Saturday 9/12/2017 at the Development Center for Research and training (DCRT)- University of Human Development- a discussion was carried out in between DCRT and the Center of Future Research with the attendance of researchers from both centers. In the forum, light was shed the reason of the tension between them and the regional and international changes as a path to better understanding the relations between Kurdistan Region and Baghdad.
The most important points discussed were:
- The region’s internal situation and the necessity of national consensus.
The impact of the upcoming Iraqi elections on these relations.
- The impact and role of regional countries in the problems and solutions
- The necessity of sorting out a national strategy in between independence and the federal system where rights are preserved.
- Both centers agreed to publish the outcomes of their discussions as a report to the parties concerned.
It is also worth mentioning that this forum will continue as a chain of activities to be shared and attended by expertise and people of experience.
